Vision, Values and Ethos

Aletheia Vision

Aletheia Academies Trust welcome those of all faiths, and none, and are proud of the inclusive nature and diversity of each cohort. We are motivated by Christian values to serve our communities by improving the life chances of local children. Our academies seek to embody the experience of community; where gifts are shared, where the emphasis is on what can be contributed and where each is given according to need.

At the heart of Aletheia is the belief in educational excellence and the belief that Aletheia is called to serve pupils, staff, parents and the local community, by providing places where everyone has the ability to develop and thrive intellectually, socially, culturally and spiritually.

     Aletheia achieves its success through:

  • Developing a Trust for all ages/phases of education, with member academies working in partnership and learning from each other.
  • Promoting an ethos based on a belief in the value and potential of every pupil to achieve excellence academically and in their wider studies and become fully the best person they can be.
  • Pursuing educational excellence, so that outcomes for all learners are as good as they can be.
  • Creating strong leadership at all levels that impacts effectively on academy performance.

Equality Objectives

Aletheia Academies Trust’s overarching Equality Objectives are:

  • To provide professional development which continues to support staff to promote equality and diversity routinely in their daily activity.
  • To provide an environment in which diverse people are welcomed, respected and protected.
  • To use performance data to monitor student achievement and respond to variations between groups of learners, subjects, courses and key stages, to trends over time and to comparisons with other schools.
  • To ensure that all students are given opportunities to make a positive contribution to the life of the school.
  • To develop in our students a set of positive behaviours which reflects the very best in all cultures, and re-affirms the understanding of, and compliance with, the rule of British law and British Values.
  • To provide opportunities to reflect upon a variety of cultural events through the curriculum so as to increase student awareness of cultural diversity.
